Petition to revert/un-nerf Watch Yourself!
[skill]"Watch Yourself!"[/skill] now ends after a certain number of incoming attacks. This skill has been beaten with the nerf stick and re-buffed again so many times it's just STUPID.
I want A.net to a) REVERT IT and b) explain why the hell it got nerfed this time in the first place.
Who's with me?

If that's sarcasm, it sucks.
WHY was it nerfed? WHAT was wrong with it how it was? It already had been nerfed so Paras couldn't exploit it for insane e-management. WHAT THE HELL, A.NET?!
Interesting sidenote: I noticed that [skill]Heart of Shadow[/skill] and [skill]Viper's Defense[/skill] have been changed to spells, rather than an enchantment and a stance respectively. This turns Heart of Shadow into a "panic" heal, and Viper's Defense into... uh... well, it's still a mediocre escape skill.
Something I will give A.Net kudos for: modifying [skill]Power Shot[/skill] to have a 1 second activation time makes it marginally useful now as a quick followup shot for a spike.

my idea for this is to spark some ingenuity into the game and try to shy away from the traditional para as support.
i have already seen several huge changes replacing the para roll as support.
(apr running magehunters smash constantly back-lining for example)

I don't like it either, but the simple fact is, it needed a nerf.

They could give it the Lion's Comfort treatment, and split the skill between Tactics and Strength. Keep the armor scaling as Tactics with the same progression, but tie the duration in seconds to Strength. Keeps it usable for warriors, but limits it severely for Paragons(or any other /W, but who else uses it).

Enlighten us, then? Just saying "it needed a nerf" doesn't say much at all. I would like to hear your reasoning.

If you don't understand why it was nerfed, then you never will.

You wanted a reason, here you go, as per the Gaile News page on the official wiki
Quote:
Combination melee skills require a significant investment of skill slots to be successful. To further reward such investment, Axe Rake, Axe Twist, and Gash have had their adrenaline costs reduced. "Watch Yourself!" could be on a team indefinitely, and when coupled with no activation time or Energy cost, this was something that couldn't be stopped once it got rolling. The 1-3 incoming attack limit means it takes more conscious effort to time ot right and be effective. The block component of "Shields Up!" was nullifying condition spreading and Ranger interruption far too well, so we increased the armor buff while eliminating the chance to block. Magehunter's Smash now counters block-heavy teams by punching through enchantments that provide a block chance. Mokele's Smash provides some Energy-to-adrenaline conversion for hammer Warriors, who are often in greater need of adrenaline than Energy, and Lion's Comfort is a low-risk heal that can sustain itself while the character stays in combat. Sprint now recharges faster so that it is more in balance with other movement speed boosts.

[skill]Vocal Minority[/skill] [skill]Sympathetic Visage[/skill] [skill]Ancestor's Visage[/skill] [skill]Soothing Images[/skill] [skill]Visions of Regret[/skill] [skill]Ulcerous Lungs[/skill] [skill]Roaring Winds[/skill] [skill]Well of Silence[/skill] and plenty of other methods to deny adrenaline in the first place, such as %block stances or enchantments. And given how many nifty ways there are for other players to simply IGNORE AL altogether, please tell me how this makes any sense. Maybe a buff for anti-shout/adrenaline skills would be more in order?
Also: Is there no better way to deny Paras the exploitative bonuses of WY! or something?

when is the last time you've seen people using SV/AV chains in GvG.
or while im at it, ANY of those skills (besides maybe vocal minority..?)
and they are trying to push warriors back into the frontline instead of using lame sin splits/derv spikes
(I.E. recent nerfs)

Add a "makes shouts expire faster" to Roaring Winds, for one.
And Visions of Regret f***ing HURTS.
The others may or may not be AS useful in GvG, but could damn well be applied effectively by any mesmer/necro with half a brain.
